One thing that really sticks out in my memory of this day was how unbelievably hot it was. We stopped by a small suburban neighborhood to check out this incredible front yard.
After another several hours of driving we got to our next stop, Twin Arrows Trading Post. It's an abandoned truck stop, a relic from the Route 66 days.
A few miles up the road was an unexpected surprise, Two Guns, an abandoned camping resort.
That night we stayed at the Wigwam Motel, another Route 66 relic, one that Kaylah had been dying to visit.
